Welcome! We’re wife and husband team, Natalie and David – co-founders, co-owners and the collaborative brains behind Willow and Mist.

Both born and raised in England, in September 2011 we made the exciting (and somewhat scary) decision to uproot everything we’ve ever known in pursuit of the American Dream. We moved to the beautiful Pacific Northwest United States, just east of Seattle, and haven’t looked back since!

After settling in our new home, the next big step was to start our own business. Combining my passion for laser engraving and David’s design skills, together we created Willow and Mist, where we now make and sell handcrafted gifts.

Everything starts with the design. The message, the imagery, the choice of typefaces – it all has to work together. This includes choosing the wood that will give the piece the right aesthetic. We use a variety of woods for our products, from hardwoods such as walnut and maple to eco-friendly bamboo. From here it goes to the workshop, where we precisely laser engrave each product, inspect for quality, and then finish with a hand polishing and protective wood conditioner. The final step is to handsomely package the product up and carefully ship it off to you. Every step of the way we take great pride in each product as customer satisfaction is always our top priority!

We do all of this while balancing our family life as parents to two young children, Charlie and Amber, both born here in the US. They’re definitely very American and love to correct us on our ‘English’ all the time. We enjoy spending time together as a family, either walking in the rain, biking through the woods or playing in one of our local lakes. This really has been the best part of being our own bosses, in that it has allowed us to spend more time with our kids.
